Hello! I’m María, the person behind My Green Balcony, a space created to share my love for plants, small urban gardens, and everything that grows with a little light, water, and patience.
This blog started as a way to document my own learning about how to turn any balcony into a lively green corner. Here you’ll find inspiration, tips, and real experiences to enjoy the world of plants, even if you live in a small space or have little time.
My green story.
I have always been fascinated by nature, but for a long time I thought taking care of plants wasn’t for me, until one day I decided to try it with a pot on my balcony… and ever since, everything changed. I learned that you don’t need to have a huge garden to enjoy greenery; all it takes is a plant, a ray of sunshine, and a lot of willingness to learn.
That’s how My Green Balcony was born, a little place where I share what I’ve discovered: how to care for your plants, how to understand them, and how to turn your home or balcony into a small natural haven.

Why I created My Green Balcony.
This blog was born from the excitement of showing that anyone can have their own garden, no matter the space they have or their experience. I want My Green Balcony to be a place where you feel supported in your plant adventure, where you find motivation and confidence to give it a try, even if you’ve had a cactus ‘die’ along the way (it’s happened to all of us 😅).
